Industrial UV light sources for adhesive curing and material inspections
Opsytec UV light sources generate ultraviolet radiation for industrial irradiation, adhesive curing, fluorescence excitation and materials testing. The product range extends from battery-operated UV handheld lamps through high-performance UV LEDs to spot and multi-spot irradiation systems. They are manufactured by Opsytec Dr. Gröbel GmbH, whose roots go back to 1981 – with in-house development, in-house production and calibrated instruments to verify the irradiance.
The largest share is adhesive curing: UV adhesives, potting compounds and coatings cross-link within seconds under irradiation – without solvents and without significant heat input into the component. What matters is that the wavelength matches the photoinitiator and that the irradiance matches the cycle time; we determine both together with you.
The second field of application is material inspection. Here the UV radiation is not used for curing but to make things visible: fluorescent markers in crack and leak detection, surface inspection and visual checks under defined UVA light. For these applications we supply handheld lamps as well as permanently installed floodlights.
Whether a UV lamp or a UV LED light source is the right choice depends on area, cycle time and spectrum. Talk to us – we will assess your application and verify the irradiance achieved.
