UV Tools – Calculators and Analysis Tools for UV and Lighting Applications
The Opsytec UV Tools are freely accessible calculators and analysis tools for designing and assessing UV and lighting applications. They cover irradiance, UV dose, exposure time, photon energy, photon flux, PPFD, transmittance and optical density, provide a spectra database explorer and offer 3D simulations for UV LED arrays and irradiation chambers. The results serve as a first estimate and do not replace a measurement with calibrated instruments.
3D Simulation of a UV Irradiation Chamber
The UV irradiation chamber simulator allows users to virtually calculate irradiance and UV dose for various BS and BSL irradiation chambers. Power, wavelength, measurement plane, and target object can be customized, and the results can be displayed as a heat map, 3D view, or simulation report.
UV-LED 3D Irradiance Calculator
The UV-LED 3D Irradiance Calculator calculates the irradiance and uniformity of configurable UV-LED arrays on flat, inclined, or imported 3D target objects. The LED arrangement, wavelength, power, working distance, and radiation pattern can be customized. The results are visualized in three dimensions and can be exported as a CSV file, cross-sectional profile, PNG image, or PDF simulation report.
Explore UV meters and sensors interactively in 3D
The 3D product viewer shows Opsytec products as true-to-original 3D models. On the meters, the display can be operated – including the menu navigation. Rotate and zoom radiometers and sensors and explore them directly in your browser, no installation required!
Interactively analyze spectral data from various UV light sources
The Spectral Database Explorer provides interactive access to measured spectral data from various UV light sources. The database includes typical emission spectra of UV LEDs and UV lamps and allows for a direct comparison of different radiation sources across their respective wavelength ranges. The underlying spectra were measured in the Opsytec laboratory and serve as a reliable basis for evaluating the spectral properties of UV sources.
Integrating sphere design as luminance and radiance standard
The integrating sphere design app calculates radiance, luminance, and spectral radiance for individually configured Ulbricht spheres. The sphere diameter, coating, ports, lamp type, and lamp power can be customized. A 3D view and an automatically generated PDF report assist in the preliminary design of optical measurement and calibration systems.
Radiometry Calculator for UV and Light: Easily Calculate Units, Dose, Photon Flux, PPFD, Transmission, etc.
The Radiometry Calculator is a free online tool for performing key calculations in UV and photometric measurement technology. It allows users to convert radiometric units and calculate UV dose, exposure time, photon energy, photon flux, PPFD, transmission, optical density, and distance-dependent irradiance.
Notes on the Opsytec UV-Tools Web Applications
The UV tools are intended to provide a rough guide and are not a substitute for measurements taken with calibrated instruments. The calculations are based on simplified model assumptions. Actual values may differ significantly.
