UV-LED chamber BSL-03: Efficient UV irradiation for laboratory applications
The UV LED chamber BSL-03 is the second largest LED irradiation chamber in the BSL series and cures large-area components as well as medium-sized laboratory batches. Within an interior of 68 × 51 × 31 cm it reaches up to 220 mW/cm², 22 times the irradiance of the BS series, at 365, 385, 395, 405 or 450 nm. Together with the UV-MAT dose control this gives short exposure times at a reproducible dose; UV LEDs start instantly, are dimmable and have a long service life.
The most common UV curing adhesives and lacquers can therefore be applied. For high irradiances, the UV LED chamber can be ordered completely with one LED wavelength. A particularly flexible application is possible when two separately controllable LED wavelengths are ordered.
With the high homogeneity of the irradiation, the samples can also be positioned as needed.
The dose control is already integrated in the UV-MAT Touch and UV-MAT control units in the BSL-03 UV LED chamber. By means of an optional sensor, the UV-MAT measures the irradiance continuously, and stops the irradiance at the set target dose.
The integrated timer already controls the irradiation precisely. For even better results, we recommend one of our calibrated UVA+ sensors. Dose control is already integrated in the UV LED chamber BSL-03 in the UV-MAT Touch and UV-MAT control units. With an optional sensor, the UV-MAT continuously measures the irradiance and stops irradiation when the set target dose is reached.
The BSL-03 is available in two versions:
- 0 to 220 mW/cm² (Version HO)
- 0 to 110 mW/cm² (Version ECO)
The sample chamber is actively air-cooled; together with the low heat input of the UV LEDs the thermal load stays manageable even in the HO version at 220 mW/cm². The high uniformity across the 64 × 49 cm sample tray allows parts to be positioned freely.
The sample room has a floor space of 64 x 49 cm and a height of 25 cm. Parts that must be bonded or cured can be positioned easily on the movable sample carrier.
Thanks to the fully enclosed and monitored irradiation chamber, operating personnel are completely protected from UV radiation during handling.

HO or ECO? Simulate the irradiance of the BSL-03
The UV irradiation chamber simulator shows how the irradiance is distributed across the 64 × 49 cm sample tray of the BSL-03 and how strongly it decreases with the distance to the LED plane – a basis for choosing between the HO version with 220 mW/cm² and the ECO version with 110 mW/cm², and for the exposure time up to the target dose.
