For ultraviolet and visible light

UV sensors and VIS sensors for industrial irradiance measurement

Opsytec UV sensors measure the irradiance of ultraviolet and visible radiation in defined spectral ranges from UVC through UVB and UVA to the visible range. VIS sensors are available for the visible spectral range, for example VISB for 400–480 nm and LUX with V(λ) weighting for illuminance. Available versions include measuring heads for the RMD and RM-12 radiometers, inline sensors, PLC sensors with 0–10 V or 4–20 mA, digital PLC.D sensors and pressure-tight sensors for UVC water disinfection. All sensors are calibrated, supplied with a factory calibration certificate and can be recalibrated at any time.

It is important to distinguish the spectral range from the measuring range: the spectral range is the wavelength range in which the sensor is sensitive, while the measuring range corresponds to the sensitivity range and states the minimum and maximum measurable irradiance. We have 16 calibration standards permanently available, so customer-specific calibrations are possible at any time. Repair and spare parts service is also available for many years.

The procedure and the records issued are described under UV calibration.

Radiometric sensors are precise measuring heads for our UV meter RMD and RM-12 handheld instruments and are suitable for dose control in our irradiation chambers.

The PLC sensors and waterproof UV sensors can be connected directly to a PLC. Selectable digital signals, 0-10V or 4-20 mA signal outputs are available. As electromagnetic interference may occur in production facilities, our PLC sensors and the UVC-SE are internally amplified. An external signal processing is not necessary.
