Opsytec manufactures customer-specific UV sensors whenever the standard sensor does not fit the task: system sensors for permanent installation, special housings, different spectral and measuring ranges as well as specific dimensions and interfaces. Development, production and the calibration laboratory are all in-house, so single units and small batches are built quickly, precisely and with traceable calibration – some of them exclusively for individual customers.
System sensors account for the largest share of these custom builds: UV sensors that are permanently installed in a system to monitor irradiance continuously. They are designed around the mounting position and the available space, the medium – air, water or vacuum –, the spectral range to be monitored and the interface of the system control. UV measuring probes UVxL for UVA, UVB or UVC
The UV measuring probes with 14 mm diameter only serve as compact, long-term-stable measuring heads for the supervision of UV irradiation systems and for UV measurements in inaccessible locations. In addition, optional water and light guide adapters enable the application in hot locations and in water disinfection systems. The integrated electronics generate a signal voltage that is transferred to the UV monitor RM-31 or to the PLC with low noise by a shielded cable.
